Changing temporary exhibitions

This exhibition marks the beginning of the ‘Year of Industrial Heritage 2020’ which is highlighted by the Fourth Saxon State Exhibition taking place in Zwickau this spring. The Kunstsammlungen Zwickau present images of historic regional industrial facilities on canvas and paper, all from the museum’s own collection. The exhibition also reminds of the illustrator, painter and textile designer Heinz Fleischer (1920–1975) from Zwickau with his woodcut series ‘Die Grube (The mine)’. His illustrations, created at the end of the 1940s showing the hard work of the miners, impressively demonstrate the industrial and mining history of Zwickau.
